Meet Chuck, the visionary behind Sweet Peaks Artisan Ice Cream.


It all began one evening in 2008, around a cozy bar in Banff, Alberta. Chuck, a cocktail bartender with a penchant for creativity, found himself sharing a pint of Guinness with his General Manager. They were known for their lively brainstorming sessions, where wild ideas flowed freely.

One fateful night, Chuck found himself pondering a question: why hadn't anyone created alcohol-infused ice cream? Sure, people had been adding spirits to desserts for ages, but he wanted to retain as much of the alcohol content as possible, without sacrificing flavour.

The very next day, armed with determination, Chuck purchased an ice cream maker and embarked on a culinary crusade. Over the next five years, he experimented tirelessly, learning from his mistakes. Finally, after much trial and error, Chuck achieved a breakthrough. He perfected a batch of White Russian ice cream, boasting an impressive alcohol content of 14%. When he shared it, the response was overwhelmingly positive, sparking the idea that perhaps this could be more than just a hobby.

And so, Sweet Peaks Artisan Ice Cream was born. Chuck's mission? To offer super-premium ice cream made in-house using only the freshest, natural, and sustainable ingredients sourced locally, seasonally, and organically whenever possible.
